To Eternity and Beyond!

Have you ever heard the term eternal life? Or immortality?

Most of us may associate this with myth or fantasies, however what these terms are truly hinting to is the eternal part of each of us. We could call this part of us Spirit, and when we become conscious of this dimension of ourselves and integrate it more fully into our lives, the magic begins. Think less stress, worry, chaos, fear and loneliness… and a big increase in happiness, peace, love, compassion and forgiveness.

Our eternal Spirit is in essence the only ‘real’ part about us… Spirit is waves of energy consciousness which come together to form the seemingly physical body or ‘shell’ and with this comes a quality of consciousness called the mind with its thoughts, feelings and ego. A lot of us tend to get caught up in the mind and believing that it is the true us, along with the physical body. This belief can cause a wide array of issues both mental and physical because we identify with illusion and mistake it for reality. A recipe for disaster!

The true You is the underlying consciousness behind the mind and body and it is the same as everyone else’s true Self. Everyone is One and the same, on that level of spirit. When a physical body dies, the eternal Spirit energy inhabiting that physical body does not and cannot die, it either returns to Source or re-incarnates into a new physical body.

Ancient cultures such as the Egyptians knew well of this truth and they practiced integrating their truest Self into their daily physical experience with deep meditations, rituals, teachings at schools and utilising special symbols such as the Ankh.

A great way to start integrating more of your true Self into your daily experience is to take time out each day to just be, be without thinking or doing, and in those moments of being appreciate the truth that you are truly eternal. We are ‘human beings’… human is the physical and being is the non-physical… when we acknowledge and become aware of the non-physical part of us, we bring it to light and integrate them together for a blissful experience. Namaste!

With Love, Cait.
