5 star retreat? Try a million star one… it’s called the Human Experience.
Connected we are, one we are. Family weekend connecting.
This weekend I was blown away to discover something when exploring my family tree.
I discovered the full name of my maternal grandmother who passed when I was only 15 years old. I always knew her name to be Mary Lochead a Scottish woman through and through. Her middle name though was uncovered and the connection to love was brought to me again. Her full maiden name was Mary Love Britton Yardley. I had never heard of anyone with a middle name of Love. On telling my daughter Cait, she immediately knew that if she was to be blessed with children in the future she would pass this on within a naming ceremony to her own. Love – it seems to be immersing itself within us in so many ways and this was just another discovery of Love.
This was followed up by a night under the stars at my brother’s farm property 3 hours out from the bright lights of our city. We were blessed with a cloudless and moonless night that allowed the millions of stars to reveal themselves in their unbounding beauty. The dazzling display opens every aspect of oneself to the oneness of everything. We were lying there enjoying the billion star experience while immersing ourselves in all things love. Meditating on the truth of ‘Love Is’, the knowing that this whole experience is one of Love manifested, was bringing us pure bliss while watching the display of dying stars dashing across the night sky.
Breathing in beauty and allowing nothing but the experience of awe, love and gratefulness of our amazing human experience, an experience that we all share together as one-mind, no matter who we are or where we are. To feel this connection of oneness is simple, just remember to look within to find that shining light, the light that connects us all, or sometimes the best way to achieve this is to look up at the twinkling night sky. All the different stars, yet in the one nights sky. As above, so below. The billion-star human experience!
With Love, Fiona.
