“The injunction to rest in peace is for the living, not the dead.” – A Course of Love.
Over the years Mum and I have often read the same book at the same time, as we would love to have conversations and reflections together on the ideas presented within the books, and use each other as a mirror to go deeper into our own healing and growth.
The book we are currently reading is ‘A Course of Love’ by Mari Perron (channelled from Jesus) and it is by far the best spiritual book we have come across yet. Whilst reading it, the above quote about living in peace jumped out at me. I love it!
We have both spent many years learning about the nature of human existence, who we are and why we’re here, discovering how to reclaim peace of mind.
Over time the priceless Truth about the nature of existence has been called many many different names within different belief systems. For example in spiritual terms it may be labelled: Consciousness, Creator, Love, The Divine, One Mind. In religious terms: God, Goddess, Shiva, Horus, Zeus, Allah, Krishna. In scientific terms: Unified Field, God Particle, Energy. Aaaaand I like to call it Source or Oneness π
It is the place in which all things whether physical or non-physical manifest from, and yet it is also everything. This is why I use both names of Source and Oneness. When I first heard about this, I was extremely fascinated by it. I felt so compelled to find out more about it, so I set off on my “journey for Truth”. Now about a decade later, both Mum and I can say that we feel as if we’ve found what we were searching for, and it feels like home, a very peaceful home.
And so when I read that quote “The injunction to rest in peace is for the living, not the dead” I could truly relate to it in that I feel I am resting in peace, in Heaven on Earth. It is a sustainable peace, one which softly flows through seemingly painful situations and holds its loving warm presence. As humans it is our birth right. We are here to merge the non-physical with the physical. To bring Heaven to Earth. To bring Peace to Existence.
Now that we have found home, we will attempt to share it via words, symbols and ideas, with the hope it will inspire others in some way to either begin their journey for Truth, keep travelling along it, or complete the journey all together. If this speaks to you, feel free to check in here and read some blogs. Between Mum and I, we will aim to upload one per week (forgive us if this doesn’t always happen ha). I would love to see the smile on your face when you find home.
With Love, Cait.
